The organic chestnut honey of Melodia is collected at the height of summer at an altitude of 1,100 meters in the forests of Western Macedonia. It comes from a breathtaking landscape with mixed woodland of oak and chestnut forest. The chestnut trees are ancient and very big. It has strong and lasting taste that accompanies the strong impression that its dark color and aromas cause. It is an exquisite Greek honey teemed with chestnut’s full-rounded flavor perfectly combined with the unique aromas of mountainous vegetation.

❝ A striking, rich, dark amber coloured honey. The texture was thick and toffee like with a good gloss and medium viscosity. The aroma was woody and complex. The flavour was unique, strong horse chestnut flower notes with a slight bitterness, but this soon disappeared. This is a delicious honey, which is naturally low in sweetness and high in acidity, but the balance is very good. ❞
