organic heather honey

Melodia’s heather honey, also known as erica honey, is collected in the spring at an altitude of 300 meters in Arta at the Tzoumerka Mountains of Epirus. The forest in that region is very bushy, pure and almost inaccessible. In the flowering season of heather the air if filled with unbelievable aromas and the mountains are dressed in white. This honey awakens the taste buds with its unique and caramel taste and with a tangy and pungent flavor that makes it a rare. It crystallizes quickly and it obtains a creamier texture that lingers in the mouth.
